MakerShake reads your homepage and pulls your project name, tagline, description, favicon, OG image, category, and a starter set of tags — automatically.
Tweak anything (optional)
After you sign in you can fine-tune the tagline, swap the category, add or remove tags, add screenshots by pasting a URL or uploading manually, and add what you built with. Nothing is required.
Create your maker profile
Sign in and your project gets linked to your maker profile — a public page with your avatar, bio, links, and every project you ship. Visitors can follow you for new-project alerts, chat with you (mutual follows only), and reach out about jobs or collabs without ever seeing your email.
Safety screening
Before your project goes live, MakerShake runs automated checks on the URL — address hygiene (punycode, hidden characters, look-alike domains), DNS resolution, reachability and redirect resolution, live malware feeds from URLhaus, and AI content classification that flags illegal, political, or adult material. Clearly unsafe links are blocked; borderline cases go live but land in a moderation queue.
Publish
Your project goes live in the directory. It's discoverable from the homepage, search, categories, and tags — instantly. Live listings are re-scanned every few days, so a site that turned bad after launch is caught and suspended automatically.
What happens after you publish
You always keep the essentials on the free plan. Pro and Pro+ add visibility, analytics, and a few maker-friendly signals.
Boosted rotation (Pro)
Pro projects get a small ranking boost on the homepage, category pages, and search, and are eligible for the Featured row.
Priority indexing (Pro+)
Pro+ projects rank above Pro in the default order, ship with a higher sitemap priority, and we ping IndexNow (Bing, Yandex, and other participating engines) on publish so they re-crawl fast.
Analytics
Pro shows views, outbound clicks and click-through rate with 30 days of history. Pro+ adds visitor breakdowns by country, city, device, OS, referrer and social platform, plus long ranges up to all time.
Private contact form (Pro & Pro+)
Visitors can message you without ever seeing your email address. Free plan gets a mailto: link instead.
Available for work
Turn your listing into a lead channel. Toggle a badge so potential customers can ask you to build a custom app, hire you for a contract, or explore a collaboration.
Available to remix
Invite others to take your idea in a new direction — build a different take, adapt it for a niche, or localize it for their country or language.
Funding status (Pro & Pro+)
Show where you're at — Bootstrapping, Open to funding, or Actively raising. Pro+ gets a highlighted badge, an optional fundraising note, and inclusion in the investor filter.

Bookmark the projects you love
Hit the bookmark icon on any card or project page and it lands in your own Saved collection — searchable, filterable, and sortable. Makers see when someone saves their project, so a bookmark is real feedback, not a silent click.
Follow the makers you believe in
Follow a maker and you get notified whenever they publish something new. Your followers and the people you follow are public on your profile — every follow is a small, permanent bit of marketing for your projects.
Chat maker to maker
When two makers follow each other, a private 1:1 chat unlocks in the dashboard. Mutual follows only — so it stays a conversation between people who chose each other, never a cold-DM inbox.
